In response to the Covid-19 Executive Order No. 8 issued by Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker on March 21st, Relief Therapy has made the following changes to how we conduct business in order to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 while continuing to offer essential pain management and touch therapy.
Per Center for Disease Control guidelines, washable/disposable face coverings will be used by your massage therapist during treatments. Disposable gloves, as always, may be used by the therapist at either the therapist’s or client’s discretion. Clients are asked to arrive wearing a face covering for before and after treatments, and also while supine (face-up) in order to minimize the risk of asymptomatic transmission (CDC Face Covering Guidelines).
Routine cleaning and disinfecting of the treatment room and adjoining areas before and after each session has been heightened. Alcohol-based hand-sanitizer will be available in addition to antimicrobial soap, and clients are asked to wash or sanitize their hands before and after treatments.
Relief Therapy will temporarily be suspending all outcall services. Clients with a prepaid outcall service will be able to use their appointment for an in-office visit and either be refunded the difference in price, or receive an additional 30-minutes for no extra charge.
Clients experiencing any symptoms listed on the CDC website the day of their appointment should contact Relief Therapy directly to cancel, and follow CDC guidelines for people experiencing symptoms. The 24-hour cancellation policy will be temporarily lifted during this time.
For insurance purposes, clients will need to sign off on a statement of health and liability release prior to each appointment.
